What we collect

Placing an order, we collect only what's needed to get it to you: name, delivery address, email, phone, and what's in the order. No card details are stored on this site. Browsing the site leaves behind technical traces, IP address, browser, pages viewed, picked up through the cookies described below.

Couriers see delivery details, nothing more. Our payment provider sees what's needed to take payment. Hosting and analytics partners process data for us under contract. We never sell anyone's personal data.

Kindleroot operates under the data-protection law of the United Kingdom, not the law of the United States, and therefore the CCPA/CPRA does not apply. In accordance with the UK GDPR, Kindleroot never sells or trades customer personal data to third parties.

How long we hold onto it

Order records stay as long as accounting law requires, then they're cleared out. Account details stay until you close the account. Analytics data sits for 14 months.

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, customers have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, and port their personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Requests can be submitted at any time to [email protected].

Security

Kindleroot does not collect, process or store any bank card, payment card or financial account data, because checkout is completed only through Cash on Delivery or Direct Bank Transfer. No payment card information is ever transmitted to or held by this store.
